The work at 2 Mall Studios required stepping into a project that had lost clarity. Previous contractors had left inaccurate drawings, incomplete documentation, and unresolved building control issues. The client had no clear understanding of what had been built or what needed to be put right.
Our approach was guided by the same quiet discipline found in Barbara Hepworth’s sculptural process: revealing truth through precision, removing what doesn’t belong, and allowing the real form to emerge.
A full as-built survey provided an honest baseline of the space, followed by a clear technical review that identified compliance gaps and the steps required to resolve them.
From this, a structured building control pathway was created restoring confidence, reinstating order, and giving the client a project they could finally move forward with.
The outcome is a studio realigned with its true form: accurate, compliant, and ready for its next phase.
